e-Bookery Guidelines for Book Submission by Publishers Before submitting a published book for consideration by e-Bookery, please read the following and provide all requested information. When finished, please indicate your willingness to abide by these terms by clicking the "I Agree" button below. In order for your book to be considered for inclusion on our site, you need to provide one of the following: Send a PDF version of your book electronically to "submissions@ebookery.com" but only after your review and agreement to the terms listed on this Agreement page. Send a hard copy of your book but only after your review and agreement to the terms listed on this Agreement page. Please mail to the address shown at the bottom of this page. Ebookery will only consider books that have been professionally designed, edited, and produced. We welcome new books and would appreciate receiving copies of endorsements for the book. By clicking the "I Agree" button, you are entering into a legal contract binding upon both you and e-Bookery. FEES The yearly fee to be listed with eBookery.com is $50.00 per title. If your file is already in a PDF (.pdf) format, this will be the only charge occurred per title. Additional charges are as follows: Converting existing files into .pdf format: $1.75 per page with a minimum fee of $100.00 If existing files are not available and need to be scanned directly from the book the following fees apply: $4.00 per page with a minimum fee of $100.00 The author/publisher is required to supply a written description and cover photo scan, if a cover photo is available. There is a one-time charge of $50.00 if we are required to do the scan. If we are required to make any changes to your description, we will charge a $15.00 fee each time changes are requested. We will supply you with an ISBN for the e-version of your book, however this ISBN will only be associated with your listing at eBookery.com. We require prepayment and will do our best to get the job done within 30 days, depending upon the size of the book and the number of books we will be adding. TITLE AND AUTHOR I [name as indicated below] am the legally authorized representative of [ name of publisher as indicated below] (hereinafter referred to as the 'Publisher'), publisher of a literary work titled: [title as indicated below] (hereinafter referred to as the 'Book'), a work of [please check one: fiction non-fiction], of approximately words in length, and approximately pages in length. I am submitting the Book to e-Bookery and ask that it be considered for publication as an electronic book and offered for sale on the e-Bookery web site. GRANT OF RIGHTS The Publisher is the sole owner of the electronic rights to this manuscript and has the full power to enter into this agreement. Should e-Bookery choose to publish the Book and offer it for sale on its web site, the Publisher grants e-Bookery a non-exclusive right to do so through on-line data transmission only and not on disk or by any other method. The Publisher further understands that even while this agreement is in effect that the Publisher is free to pursue publication of the Book by other electronic book publishers and/or by any other means of publication. The Publisher grants e-Bookery the right to publish the Book as unaltered plain text, as hypertext (in which e-Bookery may choose to enhance its value by imbedding hyperactive links within the text), or as multimedia (a hypertext version in which e-Bookery may add audio and/or video content). ASSURANCES The Publisher guarantees that the manuscript contains nothing which is libelous or which violates the right of privacy of any person, and further guarantee that the manuscript doesn't infringe upon any copyright or trademark or other proprietary right and that any recipe, formula, or instruction contained in the manuscript is accurate and will not be injurious to the user. If the preceding statement is proven to be untrue in a court of law, the Publisher will reimburse e-Bookery for any costs incurred in any legal action arising from the publication of this manuscript. METHOD USED TO SUBMIT MANUSCRIPT The Publisher is sending the manuscript in the following acceptable format (please check one): pdf txt html doc PUBLISHER'S APPROVAL e-Bookery will make no changes to the manuscript, other than for the purpose of adapting the manuscript into electronic form, without the Publisher's written approval. PRICING e-bookery reserves the right to establish the selling price of the published manuscript and to change that price at any time. PAYMENT OF ROYALTIES e-Bookery will pay the Publisher directly a royalty of 40% of all monies received from the sale of the first 1,000 copies of the Book sold by e-Bookery, and will pay the Publisher a royalty of 50% from the sales of all copies over 1,000. The first royalty payment to the Publisher will be within 10 business days after the royalties due the Publisher are greater than $100 and will be paid quarterly after that. Any subsequent payments that the Publisher is required to make to the Book's author(s), illustrator(s), photographer(s) are the responsibility of the Publisher. TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT This agreement may be terminated at any time in writing or by e-mail by either party.
