Guidelines for Manuscript Submission by Authors As is common business practice with all forms of book publishing, a contract between the author and the publisher serves to protect the interests of both. Before submitting your manuscript for consideration by e-Bookery, please read the following and provide all requested information. When finished, please indicate your willingness to abide by these terms by clicking the "I Agree" button below. In order for your book to be considered for inclusion on our site, you need to provide one of the following: Send a PDF version of your book electronically to "submissions@ebookery.com" but only after your review and agreement to the terms listed on this Agreement page. Send a hard copy of your book but only after your review and agreement to the terms listed on this Agreement page. Please mail to the address shown at the bottom of this page. Ebookery will only consider books that have been professionally designed, edited, and produced. We welcome new books and would appreciate receiving copies of endorsements for the book. By clicking the "I Agree" button, you are entering into a legal contract binding upon both you and e-Bookery. FEES The yearly fee to be listed with eBookery.com is $50.00 per title. If your file is already in a PDF (.pdf) format, this will be the only charge occurred per title. Additional charges are as follows: Converting existing files into .pdf format: $1.75 per page with a minimum fee of $100.00 If existing files are not available and need to be scanned directly from the book the following fees apply: $4.00 per page with a minimum fee of $100.00 The author/publisher is required to supply a written description and cover photo scan, if a cover photo is available. There is a one-time charge of $50.00 if we are required to do the scan. If we are required to make any changes to your description, we will charge a $15.00 fee each time changes are requested. We will supply you with an ISBN for the e-version of your book, however this ISBN will only be associated with your listing at eBookery.com. We require prepayment and will do our best to get the job done within 30 days, depending upon the size of the book and the number of books we will be adding. I am submitting this manuscript to e-Bookery and ask that it be considered for publication as an electronic book and offered for sale on the e-Bookery web site. GRANT OF RIGHTS I am the sole creator of this manuscript and I am the sole owner of the electronic rights to this manuscript and have the full power to enter into this agreement. Should e-Bookery choose to publish this manuscript and offer it for sale on its web site, I grant e-Bookery a non-exclusive right to do so through on-line data transmission only and not on disk or by any other method. I further understand that even while this agreement is in effect that I am free to pursue publication of this manuscript by other electronic book publishers and/or by any other means of publication. I grant e-Bookery the right to publish this manuscript as unaltered plain text, as hypertext (in which e-Bookery may choose to enhance its value by imbedding hyperactive links within the text), or as multimedia (a hypertext version in which e-Bookery may add audio and/or video content). ASSURANCES I guarantee that the manuscript contains nothing which is libelous or which violates the right of privacy of any person, and I further guarantee that the manuscript doesn't infringe upon any copyright or trademark or other proprietary right and that any recipe, formula, or instruction contained in the manuscript is accurate and will not be injurious to the user. If the preceding statement is proven to be untrue in a court of law, I will reimburse e-Bookery for any costs incurred in any legal action arising from the publication of this manuscript. METHOD USED TO SUBMIT MANUSCRIPT I am sending the manuscript in the following acceptable format (please check one): pdf txt html doc PROOFREADING AND EDITING I understand that e-Bookery reserves the right to return the manuscript to me with suggested revisions prior to accepting the manuscript for publication. I understand that e-Bookery will provide me with an estimated cost for editing and/or proofreading the manuscript should I choose to have e-Bookery provide this service. AUTHOR'S APPROVAL e-Bookery will make no changes to the manuscript, other than for the purpose of adapting the manuscript into electronic form, without the my written approval. PRICING e-bookery reserves the right to establish the selling price of the published manuscript and to change that price at any time. PAYMENT OF ROYALTIES I understand that for the first 1,000 copies of the manuscript sold by e-Bookery, the publisher will pay me royalties of 40% of all monies received from sales of the manuscript and royalties of 50% from the sales of all copies over 1,000. I understand that the first royalty payment to me will be within 10 business days after the royalties due me are greater than $100 and will be paid quarterly after that. TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT I understand that this agreement may be terminated in writing or by e-mail at any time by me or by e-Bookery.
